Maintenance Manual

Preserving the timeless beauty of your sculpture.

At MUNIMAX LTD, we believe that every sculpture tells a story—and with thoughtful care, that story can last for generations. Whether crafted from marble, petrified wood, or mineral-based stone, each of our pieces deserves mindful handling and gentle upkeep.

🧼 Daily Cleaning

Marble & Stone Sculptures

  • Dust regularly using a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

  • For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen the cloth with distilled water. Avoid soaking or dripping wet surfaces.

  • Do not use chemical cleaners, acidic solutions (like vinegar or lemon), or abrasive sponges—they can etch or stain the surface.

Petrified Wood & Fossil Pieces

  • Gently wipe with a soft cloth; for shine, a small amount of mineral oil can be applied sparingly and buffed.

  • Keep dry and avoid humidity—wood-based fossils, though hardened, still respond subtly to moisture.

☀️ Placement & Protection

  • Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can cause color fading or surface drying.

  • Maintain stable temperatures: Natural materials can expand or contract in extreme environments.

  • Use felt pads or soft bases when placing heavy sculptures on furniture to prevent scratches or pressure marks.

🚫 What to Avoid

  • Do not place in bathrooms, kitchens, or high-humidity areas, unless the piece is sealed and rated for such use.

  • Do not expose to rain, frost, or outdoor conditions, unless explicitly described as weather-resistant.

  • Avoid perfumes, sprays, or candles near the surface—oils and chemicals may absorb or react with the natural stone.

📦 Storage Tips

If you plan to store your sculpture:

  • Wrap it in soft fabric or bubble wrap

  • Place it in a secure box, ideally with foam padding

  • Store in a cool, dry, stable environment

Keep original packaging if possible—it is designed to protect the shape and structure during transport.

🔧 Minor Repairs or Wear

Natural materials may develop minor veins, patinas, or mineral lines over time. These are not flaws—they are part of the sculpture’s organic evolution.

If minor surface marks appear:

  • Use a dry polishing cloth or marble-safe polish (test first on a hidden area)

  • Never sand or file the surface yourself

For visible chips or cracks, contact us. We may be able to recommend restoration services or assess replacement eligibility under our return policy.

🖤 With Time Comes Character

Just like fine wine and aged timber, your sculpture may evolve over time. Its subtle marks, textures, and tones are part of its legacy—one that now includes your home, your taste, your story.

Treat it not just as décor, but as a lifelong companion of quiet elegance.
